There are two methods:
If you want to do hard reset using the external keys (when your handset is not responding or cannot power on due to conflict with some installed applications) then:
Power off your handset, better to remove the battery then install it.
Long press for the up/down volume keys with the power key (the three keys together) for about five seconds.
Your phone will power on and the hard reset process is done.
You can do the hard reset from your handset settings:
Tap Start > Settings > System > Master Clear ;.
Please input the confirmation number 1234 for performing the hard reset for your handset.
Important Note: By performing hard reset for your mobile phone, all information and files in your phone memory will be lost. Make sure to do backup for your files, contacts, and other data before performing this operation.
How can I know my handset memory status?
You can know that by tapping Start > Settings > System > Memory. You can find all your phone memory free and used space and other details. To know your external memory details, please tap the upper tab “Storage Card”.
How can I change my Win-Duo DM-985 language?
Your Win-Duo mobile phone includes a licensed Arabic support and Arabic interface from Informobility.
To change your handset language interface, tap Start > Settings > System > Fee Jeibi Ein, check the “Disable Arabic Interface” check box then tap “OK” button. You need to restart your phone to apply the changes. This operation will change your handset interface to English while you can read/write the Arabic in your phone.
By checking the other check box “Disable Arabic Windows Mobile” you will totally disable the Arabic language, you will not be able after that to read/write the Arabic message and other Arabic text.
I notice a slow performance in my Win-Duo DM-985.
Normally, a slow performance may occur in your Windows Mobile phone because of many applications and processes are running in the background.
Make sure to end all the background applications that you already closed while still running in the background. You can do that by using the task manager.
Tap Start > Tools > Tasks Manager (or long press on the side up volume key), choose the required process to end then tab the “End Task” button.
If the performance still slow, then please restart your mobile phone. Any further slow may occur because of installing incompatible application(s).
My touch screen response is not accurate.
You should perform frequent Touch calibration for your LCD every two/three days for re-adjusting the touch sensitivity.
Tap Start > Settings > System > Screen .
Then, tap the “Calibrate” button to perform the calibration for your screen.
Tap the cross of the lines in your LCD till you finish the calibration process.
Sometime, I cannot delete a video or music file.
When Windows Media Player is running, the running video/music file is busy and cannot be deleted. Please end the Windows Media Player process (from task manager) then you can delete that file.
I cannot send/receive by the Bluetooth
Make sure the Bluetooth is “On”.
Make sure your device is visible to the others.
Make sure the Beam feature is OK (Start > Settings > Communications > Beam, check the Receive all incoming beams).
How can I connect my computer to the Internet using Brava Win-Duo DM-985?
You can perform that by sharing the internet service from your Win-Duo to your computer.
Tap Start > Internet sharing .
Select the connection method USB/Bluetooth PAN.
Select the connection from the second drop down box that you need to connect to the internet using it (if no connection,
please go to Communications and create a connection first via GPRS or Cellular CDMA). After that, tap the “Connect button.
If you are using the USB cable, then connect it to your computer then your computer will have the internet service.
How can I use my Win-Duo external memory as USB flash disk?
Tap Start > Settings > System > USB Storage . Check the Enable USB mass storage mode, then you can connect your handset to computer as external flash disk
